Welcome! I’m Kimberly Grow and I am an editor and writer for authors and publishers. My writing and editing career have taken me through a diverse field of work, but my specialty genres are historical fiction, romance, and fantasy.

Through my work at Kimberly Grow Editorial, I am able to put my love of the written word front and center. I believe that language unites us and allows us to come together in a way that only great writing can bring.

I got my start in editing and writing by reviewing books on a blog, and I kept coming across books that were riddled with errors and plot holes. So, I started sending detailed letters to my authors about how to enhance their books. So many of them came back to let me know how helpful these letters were. Thus, my editing career began.

I studied English Literature and History at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College before taking on editorial work. In addition, I’ve completed a copyediting certificate from Poynter ACES. I just finished the romance novel editing course from Jennifer Lawler at Club Ed.

I’m dedicated to furthering my professional development by taking part in the Club Ed Developmental Editors program and through my involvement with ACES: The Society for Editing. I currently have a place on the ACES Communications Committee.

When I’m not working, I love to hike, knit, and read. If there is a body of water within 5 miles, I am there. I adore lounging on a deck watching the ripples on the lake, or sitting on the hot sand with my toes in the surf. One day, I hope to retire to Maine and live by the ocean.

I look forward to getting to know you and talk about your current project.
